To provide "User Easy Access" and essential features, the App requests access to the following:

  • SMS & MMS: Required to read, receive, and send messages. Necessary to provide full messaging functionality and act as your primary/secondary tool.
  • Contacts: Accessed to display names in your messaging lists and allow you to intuitively start conversations.
  • Call Logs: Read to seamlessly integrate your communication history into the app's interface.
  • Location Data: Fine, coarse, and background location to power location-based community and chat features, even when minimized.
  • Camera & Media: Access to capture and share photos/videos directly within conversations.
  • Storage: To read and manage external storage for sending files and executing critical data backups.

Backup & Synchronization

We prioritize ensuring your data is never lost, implementing robust sync mechanisms:

  • Encrypted Archives: The App creates secure backups of messages, contacts, and state.
  • Cloud Integration: Backup data may be uploaded to secure third-party services (like Telegram) for seamless cross-device restoration. Note: We do not control external service data practices.
  • Device Linking: Basic identifiers (e.g., Device ID) are collected to associate backups with your specific hardware.

Security Measures

We value your trust in providing us your Personal Information. While we use commercially acceptable means to protect it, no internet transmission or electronic storage method is universally secure, and absolute security cannot be guaranteed.

Children's Privacy

These Services do not address anyone under the age of 13. If we discover a child under 13 has provided personal information, it is immediately purged from our servers.

Child Safety Standards

Safety and Protection Policy

Al-Noor maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding the exploitation of children. We are committed to providing a safe environment and cooperating with global authorities to prevent Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM).

Prohibited Content

We strictly prohibit the creation, sharing, or promotion of any content that depicts the sexual exploitation or abuse of children. This includes, but is not limited to:

  • Visual depictions of child sexual abuse.
  • Grooming behaviors or solicitation of minors.
  • Any content that endangers the physical or mental well-being of a child.

Detection & Removal

Our platform employs a combination of automated filters and manual moderation to identify and remove prohibited content. Any account found engaging in the distribution of CSAM will be permanently banned without notice.

In-App Reporting

Users can report child safety concerns directly within the app by using the "Report" button on any message or profile. These reports are prioritized by our safety team and reviewed within 24 hours.

Law Enforcement Cooperation

In accordance with international laws, Al-Noor reports all identified instances of CSAM to the National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) and other relevant law enforcement agencies globally.
